Frequently asked questions
Getting Started and Our Curriculum
Junge Symphonie supports children and young people from their first musical experiences to the targeted development of their skills. Adults and returning students are also very welcome. What matters is not your age or experience, but your joy in music and your desire to grow.
No, prior knowledge is not required. Our teachers cater to each individual, tailoring lessons to suit age, experience, learning pace, and personal goals. This ensures a great start for both beginners and advanced students.
Our range includes early childhood music, instrumental lessons, singing, solfeggio, and other musical education programs. You can find out which subjects and teachers are currently available on our program pages.
The right path depends on your age, musical experience, interests, and personal goals. Our phases—Discover, Develop, Grow, Nurture, and Achieve—offer various entry points and development opportunities. We would be happy to advise you personally and find the right path together.
Getting to Know Us and Registration
Yes. When making your initial inquiry, you can schedule an appointment as a trial lesson. This allows you to get to know the teacher, the lesson style, and the atmosphere at Junge Symphonie before committing to further lessons.
Simply select your desired program and an available time slot to send us your request. The first appointment can be booked as a trial lesson if desired.
We will then contact you personally to answer any questions and discuss the next steps. An inquiry via our website is not yet a binding registration.
Lessons and Scheduling
Frequency and duration depend on the chosen program, subject, age, and personal goals. Especially for younger children, the duration is tailored to be age-appropriate. All details are agreed upon together before registration.
Available times can be requested via our course management system. After we respond and coordinate with you personally, the lesson time is confirmed.
If your preferred time is no longer available, we will work with you to find a suitable alternative. Depending on availability, there is also the option to join a waiting list.
Regular classes are held during the semester. Classes are paused during school holidays; instead, Junge Symphonie offers optional musical holiday camps and workshops.
Costs
Tuition Fees
Fees depend on the chosen program, lesson duration, and frequency.
You can find specific pricing directly on our program and course pages. All costs are listed transparently, so you know exactly what to expect before enrolling.
The semester fee is conveniently paid in "5 monthly installments." Additional offerings, such as solfeggio or elective courses, are billed separately unless they are already included in your chosen program.
Association Membership
Association membership is billed separately from tuition fees. Sustaining memberships are also available for those wishing to provide additional support for our musical programs.
Full organizational details and binding terms of membership will be provided alongside the official association documentation.
Changes and Cancellations
Canceling Lessons
Lessons can be canceled by students or their legal guardians directly via the School Portal school portal.
Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the lesson start time. After this deadline, the lesson can no longer be canceled in the school portal.
If a lesson is canceled less than 48 hours before it starts or if it is missed entirely, it will be counted as a regularly completed lesson..
If there is a change of instructor, affected students and families will be informed via the school portal. They will also receive a notification by email.
The new instructor will then be assigned to the relevant lesson in the school portal, and the previous assignment will be removed.
Once the previous assignment is removed, the former instructor's access to the student's data is terminated.
If a lesson cannot take place due to an absence on the part of Junge Symphonie, we will notify the affected students and parents as early as possible. The next steps will follow our standard terms and conditions.
School Portal and Data Privacy
The school portal is the secure administrative area for Junge Symphonie. Students and parents can only see their assigned instructor, and instructors can only see the students assigned to them.
Only essential contact information is displayed for direct communication regarding lessons, specifically names and phone numbers. Email addresses are not visible to other portal users.
We only use personal data to the extent necessary for the organization, instruction, communication, and fulfillment of our contractual obligations.
Access to the school portal is secure, with permissions assigned based on user roles and specific associations.
