VOCALS
MA Elisabeth Sergeeva
Elisabeth Sergeeva is a professionally trained opera singer (mezzo-soprano), vocal coach, and music educator. Her musical education began at the Shostakovich Music School in Moscow and took her via the renowned Gnessin Russian Academy of Music to Vienna, to the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna (MUK). There, she studied solo voice as well as Lied and oratorio, successfully completing her master's degree. Her master's certificate from MUK confirms her course of study in Lied and oratorio and her graduation with distinction.
Her artistic experience spans opera, concert, and Lied, with performances at venues including the Vienna Musikverein, the Mozarthaus Vienna, and various international stages. Additionally, she furthered her training in masterclasses with internationally acclaimed singers and received scholarships to study traditional Chinese music and Peking opera in Shanghai.
As an educator, Elisabeth Sergeeva teaches children and adults in voice and piano and possesses particular expertise in early childhood musical education and elementary music pedagogy. She works with children from as young as 1.5 years old, as well as with teenagers and adults of all skill levels.
For the Young Symphony I find the last paragraph particularly important: parents immediately see that she not only has stage experience but also concrete pedagogical experience with young children.
